By Anthony Norwood | gargoyle@flagler.edu

Flagler College men’s basketball finished their second year in the Peach Belt Conference with mixed results. There were plenty of highs this season, but ultimately the season ended in another disappointment.

The Saint’s finished with a record of 10-16. At home, the team played consistently the entire season, posting a 7-7 record. The real troubles were on the road, where the team finished only 2-7.Peach Belt Conference play proved to be a difficult task throughout the season as the team finished with only four conference wins. Let’s play ball!

The world is filled with millions of sports fans that live and breathe sports. My whole life I have followed sports, played sports, and looked up to certain athletes. When I hear about how we might not have a NFL season next year due to labor strikes it really grinds my gears. I mean what would a whole year be like without NFL football?

Seniors Adrienne Donelson and Tierra Ford, of the Flagler College women’s basketball team, finished their final season with satisfaction and aspirations for the future.

Donelson may be soft spoken but is not timid when it comes to the court. She is a player full of energy which was seen numerous times during her four year career with Flagler. As a starter for the team, she was a great asset in scoring and in rebounds.

Opinion: Young guys dominating their leagues

In every sport there is always a superstar who outshines other players. Whether it’s shooting 40 points in a game or taking a team to the Super Bowl, these star players make big things happen. Usually we hear about the same athletes such as Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant or Jeff Gordon.

Opinion: Not so hot in Miami

By Travis Norris | gargoyle@flagler.edu

Six months ago all I heard about was the Miami heat was going to be the team beat in the NBA. When they traded Chris Bosh and Lebron James to Dwayne Wade’s Heat, people looked at it as almost being unfair to the league. There was talk about the dynamic trio as if they were going to take the league by storm. With Lebron’s Akron hammer dunk style, Wade’s elusiveness and silky shot, and Chris Bosh’s way to get points in the paint, it seemed that this was going to be the best team out there.
