Sports Brief: Softball

Lauren Bessent, a shortstop from Jacksonville, continues to be enthusiastic about the season.

The Flagler College softball team started the season with an undefeated record and continues to work hard as they progress into the bulk of the season.

Bessent, one of two freshmen players on the team, has set high goals for herself this season. She wants to, “win a ring!” Bessent said.

As the season continues, the team works towards winning their Division Championship.

“You never know what could happen,” Bessent said. “Everyone’s competing towards the same goal and hopefully we will be on top when it is all over.”
