In the recent Student Government Association election, the political guild at Flagler did entrance and exit polls as part of a project to watch the voting process as it was going on.
In their entrance polls, students were asked questions like “Who is the current SGA president?” and “Who will you be voting for?”

The Flagler College surf team competed in the National Scholastic Surf Association East Coast Championships this past weekend.
The team placed in third place and is not advancing to the rounds in California.
This past weekend, Flagler SIFE worked with the Hastings Youth Academy teaching youth offenders how to cut and weld steel.
This is just one of many vocational training programs we are engaging these young men in at the Academy.

With a passion for students, sports and academics, Steve Voguit is not only a professor at Flagler College but the faculty athletics representative.
As the faculty athletics representative Voguit is independent of the Athletics Department and answers directly to, William Abare Jr., president of Flagler College. A few years ago, when Flagler moved into the NCAA, Abare asked Voguit to be the faculty athletics representative and he immediately said yes. When Voguit first came to Flagler he was an adjunct and after a few years Abare put him on the full time staff.

Freshman, Kalyn Loverich, continues to work hard for the Flagler College softball team.
Loverich, from Jacksonville, started playing softball at the age of 8. She attended Bartram Trail High School and fell in awe with Flagler College when she visited last year. Loverich is now a pitcher for the Saints.

Flagler baseball earned their seventh win on Tuesday, against No. 2 Florida Southern College.
The win put the Saint’s season at 7-7, while the loss brought the Florida Southern Moccasins’ down to 7-2; both losses coming from Flagler.

As a junior, Gino Ramirez of the men’s tennis team, feels at the top of his game
Born in Bogotá, Columbia, he began playing tennis at age 6. At the time, Ramirez was simply a recreational tennis player, as soccer was his bigger passion.

This year the Flagler College women’s basketball team is mainly made up of the younger players. Out of the team’s thirteen players five are freshman and six are sophomores. Head coach Lang-Montgomery has been working with the young team and is happy for the opportunities her players have had this season.
“I feel like they are getting a lot of playing time, a lot of minutes on the floor,” Lang-Montgomery said. “I think that is going to help in their maturity and their development as players.”
