Hedrick Smith is a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning former New York Times reporter and editor, and Emmy award-winning producer and correspondent. Throughout his career, he has earned the title of one of America’s most distinguished journalists.
Some of his published books include Who Stole the American Dream? and The Pentagon Papers: The Secret History of the Vietnam War.
Smith gave a presentation on April 15 in the Virginia Room at Flagler College titled “From Promise to Peril: How can we rescue our Democracy?” His presentation explored how democracy in the United State is under threat and how we can fight to protect it.
