The Florida Public Relations Association gave the Bob Myers Lifetime Achievement Award to Flagler College Communication Department Professor Rosemary Tutt on Sept. 4.
Tutt, a memer of the Flagler College faculty for five years, continues to pursue a lifetime full of achievement.
She began her career in retail advertising and then opened a public relations firm, which she ran 16 years. Clients included healthcare and nonprofit organizations.
The she became the chair of public relations at Ursuline College in Cleveland, Ohio for five years. Now, Tutt is a professor at Flagler College and the faculty advisor for the public relations club on campus, PRSSA, and public relations firm, DOW Advantage.
Throughout her teaching career, she has gone above and beyond for her students, who frequently show their appreciation. Melissa Simpson and Joe Wolf, former students of Tutt, nominated her for the award.
“[It was] totally unexpected but, when the shock wore off, I was truly proud and humbled,” Tutt said.
