Flagler offers new COM track, environmental science minor

The Communication department is now offering courses in cinema and media studies. Some of the classes offered are Principles of Cinema and Media Studies, Writing Cinema and Media Criticism, Media Aesthetics and more.

These courses will focus on cultural differences of television and digital media. Students will study cinema ranging from soap operas to the world wide web.

Flagler will also offer a new Natural Science minor focused on environmental studies.

The environmental studies minor concentrates on “a sound foundation of knowledge concerning pour planet, divers Floridian and global ecosystems, natural processes and ecological sustainability” according to the 2008-2009 course catalog.
