Rising author leaves her heart in new novel, ‘Heart of Palm’

Like her fictional family, the Bravos, author Laura Smith’s life and writing are shaped by the actions and consequences of her family.

“I’m always really moved to see how strong family ties can be. Even when your family members are driving you crazy, there’s this thread, I think, that runs underneath that you really can’t shake and that you don’t want to shake,” said Smith, adjunct English professor at Flagler College.


Old City Farmer’s Market Featuring Anastasia Kitchen

Start your Saturday mornings with a trip to the Old City Farmer’s Market which takes place rain or shine, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at the St Augustine Amphitheater located just over the bridge of lions on A1A South. St. Augustine’s Amphitheater puts on a farmers market with fresh produce, beverages, drinks, and hand made specialties all from local vendors. Admission is free.







Student finds his calling in ghost tours

Like many college students, Flagler College senior Lorenzo Deagle manages both school and work. However, he does not have the run-of-the-mill or ordinary college job. In fact, Deagle has a job unique to St. Augustine — he is a tour guide for Ghost Tours of St. Augustine and Potter’s Wax Museum.

DJ Luna is a senior communication major here at Flagler College. Our current Student Station Manager, she has been with WFCF for 4 years, and was recently hired as the Morning Show Producer at WYRE 105.5 FM. After she graduates this semester, she plans on moving to Annapolis, MD to continue working for Cortona Media.
