Student finds his calling in ghost tours

Like many college students, Flagler College senior Lorenzo Deagle manages both school and work. However, he does not have the run-of-the-mill or ordinary college job. In fact, Deagle has a job unique to St. Augustine — he is a tour guide for Ghost Tours of St. Augustine and Potter’s Wax Museum.

Our current Student Station Manager, she has been with WFCF for 4 years, and was recently hired as the Morning Show Producer at WYRE 105.5 FM. Movie Review: Oz: The Great and Powerful

I expected Oz: The Great and Powerful to be an entertaining prequel to the original 1939 The Wizard of Oz, but despite impressive graphics I was disappointed in the characters’ lack of, well, character.Oz (James Franco) himself is a lying, cheating and arrogant charmer. What a poor example for a child of a worthwhile suitor. It’s like saying, “Ok, kid, lying is okay if it helps you succeed, and if you make sure your pride is overflowing you can have anything.” Right. Oz is assumed to be the Wizard and takes on that role knowing that his “great and powerful” is just a flashy carnival act. I guess it all works out in the end and good wins. But good wins at what cost? Dishonesty? Faking it until making it?

Caravan of Thieves is a small band from Connecticut. The group has toured nationally, played in Australia and on television. Their mind boggling tune is the result of an odd compilation of genres like gypsy, jazz, swing, British Rock and American Blues. That’s one hell of a mix for one group of musicians to incorporate.
