Flagler College women’s head volleyball Coach Taylor Mott has announced her resignation, effective at the end of the year. Mott and her family will relocate to Tennessee where her husband, Brian, has taken a job.


Indie rock supergroup Mister Heavenly plays the Original Cafe Eleven

The kings and creators of self generated genre, “Doo-Wop,” Mister Heavenly, played at the Original Café Eleven on Nov. 8th for their “Out of Love” tour in classic dark jean jackets and black tipped dress shoes.

The indie rock super group Mister Heavenly, consists of the melodic voice of Nick Thornburn (Islands/the Unicorns), gravel vocals and pounding keys player Ryan Kattner (Man Man) and veteran drummer Joe Plummer (Modest Mouse/the Shins).

Mister Heavenly sounded as fresh and darkly dreamy as the album. We are talking chocolate swirl ice cream on a cake cone. The crowd reflected this aura of bittersweet love when they would progress from swaying side to side in a trance to crowd surfing.



Men’s soccer team advances to PBC Semifinals

The Saints advanced to the semifinals of the Peach Belt Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 1, after shutting out USC Aiken 4-0.

Flagler College remains 3-0 in Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals since joining the league in 2009.

After a scoreless first half, Eammon Murphy scored the first goal off of a lofted pass from Johan Bergfeld, slamming it into the bottom right corner of the goal.
