On Saturday, Jan., 27, Flagler College will premiere a screening of the narrative comedy “Happy Talk” at the Flagler College Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
Written by Communication Assistant Professor Nadia Ramoutar and directed by Associate Professor Jim Gilmore this is a delightful and thought-provoking comedy you won’t want to miss. It also stars many of your favorite faculty and staff (Andrea McCook, Joe Vlah, Dan McCook), graduates of our programs (Germaine Santiago) and also the crew was almost entirely Flagler College graduates and students of the communication program (Gareth Cox, Alex Brownley, Maureen Meehan and Kyle Tierney). Children of faculty also appear in the film!
You will recognize many of the settings for the film including the campus and local St. Augustine locations. The film was shot and produced this summer in St. Augustine by Jim, Nadia and Kathe
O’Donnelly, a local professional artist. It was edited and completed by Jim Gilmore and assisted by Gareth Cox, a Flagler College student. There is no charge to attend this premiere so please come and support the local independent film movement.
The film is only 40 minutes long and will include a Q & A with the film makers. It also features an original soundtrack led by Bob Dubik (who also stars in the film!) and also Kenny Hamilton. It features many of our favorite St. Augustine locations you will enjoy seeing on the big screen!
Seating is limited to a first-come basis so get there early to guarantee your space! For more information email Nadia at nramoutar@flagler.edu.
