Saint Augustine Beach: Before and after Hurricane Matthew

Before Hurricane Matthew, St. Augustine Beach was covered in dunes and soft white sand.

After Hurricane Matthew, the beaches are lacking the once beautiful dunes, the sand is dirty and packed down and it’s littered with tree branches.

There were no fatalities from the hurricane, however many homes and local businesses were damaged or destroyed.
