Blonder looks back on a bike trek across the country

Many people spend the summer lounging on the beach, reading a book and maybe go do some sight seeing. For Flagler College environmental science professor Barbara Blonder, this summer meant bicycling across the country.

Sitting in her office, surrounded by framed pictures of her journey, Blonder is wearing a pair of silver earrings with dangling bicycles and matching necklace, perfectly toned and tan and is glowing with a happiness that explodes into the room.


Croatian basketball player fulfills dream to come to America

Born in Zadar, Croatia, Ante Gospic’s dream was to get a college education in America. “I remember watching American college movies and I wanted to be just like the actors,” said Gospic.
Gospic knew that his only chance of being able to come to America for college was through the game of basketball. “I knew that if I was really good at basketball, then American colleges would recruit me” said Gospic.

Political guild exit polls SGA election

In the recent Student Government Association election, the political guild at Flagler did entrance and exit polls as part of a project to watch the voting process as it was going on.

In their entrance polls, students were asked questions like “Who is the current SGA president?” and “Who will you be voting for?”





Faculty athletics representative passionate about job

With a passion for students, sports and academics, Steve Voguit is not only a professor at Flagler College but the faculty athletics representative.

As the faculty athletics representative Voguit is independent of the Athletics Department and answers directly to, William Abare Jr., president of Flagler College. A few years ago, when Flagler moved into the NCAA, Abare asked Voguit to be the faculty athletics representative and he immediately said yes. When Voguit first came to Flagler he was an adjunct and after a few years Abare put him on the full time staff.
