Cyclists say new plan would help with safer routes

The North Florida Transportation Planning Organization is funding a comprehensive St. Augustine bicycle study.
“The plan is three major intended outcomes,” said Chris Fellerhoff, a hired consultant of the TPO from Sprinkle Consulting. “The first, and probably the most substantial is, a recommendation of bike routes that could be signed throughout the city of St. Augustine.”
Hard-up students should use local stores’ discounts
Many cash-strapped Flagler students might not realize that there are several ways available to save money in St. Augustine. One way to save some green is through student discounts. Several local restaurants, stores and attractions offer discounts that are only available to Flagler College students.

Rochelle’s features trunk show

The glitz, the glam, the sparkles and the funk of Tarino Tarantino made a stunning scene at Rochelle’s Trunk show on Saturday, March 28.
Rochelle’s fashion boutique has been one of St. Augustine’s fashion hot spots since the 80s. The store held a trunk show to showcase the famous Tarino Tarantino’s new jewelry collection inspired by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson’s book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
“We hold these trunk shows twice a year,” said owner Tom Rochelle. “I think they are a hot because everyone can wear Tarantino accessories. During Christmas time we do another trunk show, we try to hold them at least twice a year, usually featuring Tarantino’s new lines.”
Student Juried Art Exhibition draws community interest

The Student Juried Exhibition consisted of paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography and graphic design pieces.
On opening night, April 2, several attendees enjoyed viewing the variety of artwork by talented Flagler College students. The pieces were neatly and cohesively displayed around the gallery encouraging an interesting walk about the room.

I recommend the Avocado Delight, at only $4.95, it’s a delicious meal including an avocado sandwich, a side of tortilla chips and choice from variety of hummus dips. Meals are reasonably priced, averaging about $5 to $6 per meal.
Alumni, students form Rugby team

St. Augustine has got a new sport in town: Rugby.
The team was founded by Flagler alumni Sean May and since has quickly been built up to a 30-man roster. Among this roster is Flagler student Josh Thompson is also the team’s treasurer.

Although Orlando street punk band The Angst were left stranded on Interstate 4 with a flat tire and had to cancel their performance, St. Augustine punk and metal band All Disaster rocked a strong local crowd at Nobby’s on Saturday, March 20.
