St. Augustine residents and fans across the country were shocked and excited to hear that popular English folk band Mumford and Sons added St. Augustine to their 2013 tour. Mumford and Sons are scheduled to play in a two-day music festival coming up Sept. 13-14 on Francis Field in downtown St. Augustine. This will be the closing concert of their summer “Gentlemen of the Road Stopover” tour.

When I stepped into the Amway Arena Friday night in Orlando I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical. Who is this Taylor Swift girl, I thought, and why is Kanye West not a fan?
It was not long before I realized there is a reason why Swift is as successful as she is. The 20-year-old country crooner’s performance outshined country stars like Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney with her nearly two-hour, high-energy show.

I found myself amidst a sea of black Friday evening at the AC/DC concert in Jacksonville. AC/DC is on their Black Ice tour and I was amazed at how much their fan base is still thriving 36 years after the band was first formed.
