A room packed full of electronics draws in students from around campus to the Flagler College Gaming Guild every Monday night. In addition to a night of entertainment, some students find much more.

Molly only ever went to clubs. The flashing lights and incredibly loud music created a perfect atmosphere for dancing. Molly encouraged others to dance as the nights went on into the early hours of the morning. People searched for Molly as if there were an Amber Alert. It usually wasn’t very hard for them to find what they were looking for. Years later, Molly has ventured out of the underground club scene and into the public eye.

St. Augustine has got a new sport in town: Rugby.
The team was founded by Flagler alumni Sean May and since has quickly been built up to a 30-man roster. Among this roster is Flagler student Josh Thompson is also the team’s treasurer.

One Flagler student thinks that walking around St. Augustine without shoes for a day will give her ringworms.
Sophomore Josh Weaver, a TOM’s Shoes campus representative, said this is exactly what A Day Without Shoes is about.

The team did incredible at the presentation this morning at 9. The presentation was on, the question and answer went great and the visual was perfect. We are about to go and eat with the executives and other teams. Right now, we’re at a career fair.
We ran into a number of Flagler alumni including Amy Waers, who works at Sam’s Club.
We’ll update again soon, but we’re really busy right now.

The last day of practice went great today. Yesterday, we performed a formal presentation for some of the college staff and they loved it. We’ll be meeting at 6:30 in the morning for the seven hour road trip to Charlotte, NC. The 40 team members are hoping to get some sleep on the ride up along with some Q&A and presentation practice.

DOW Advantage partnered with Learn to Read to help promote and raise awareness of the annual Kiss the Pig event.
On Saturday, the KTP contest will take place during the Rhythm and Ribs Festival at Francis Field from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. LTR of St. Johns County, Inc. tutors fast track reading, math, English for Speaking for Other Languages (ESOL) classes and helps with preparation with GED and Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) testing. LTR tutored over 300 students last year.

Student Government Association will soon allow students to weigh in on how SGA should spend its money.
SGA President David Matulewicz announced this during his executive report at Tuesday night’s SGA meeting. He said a mass e-mail will be sent to students with the current balance of each committee’s budget. SGA is asking students to send in thoughts on how it should spend committee money.
