Men’s basketball year in review

Flagler College men’s basketball finished their second year in the Peach Belt Conference with mixed results. There were plenty of highs this season, but ultimately the season ended in another disappointment.
The Saint’s finished with a record of 10-16. At home, the team played consistently the entire season, posting a 7-7 record. The real troubles were on the road, where the team finished only 2-7.Peach Belt Conference play proved to be a difficult task throughout the season as the team finished with only four conference wins. Flagler failed to make the conference tournament for the second year in a row.
Senior baseketball player excels on the court

Every game is a blessing for senior John Pietkiewicz of the Flagler men’s basketball team.
Even though the Saints have been struggling on the court, Pietkiewicz has been excelling. He was chosen to be the Peach Belt Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 6.
New assistant basketball coach learns lessons from Katrina

Assistant coach Andrew Garcia of the men’s basketball team said Hurricane Katrina has made him a better person.
In August of 2005 Garcia was a junior at Tulane University in New Orleans, La. when Katrina hit. He said he evacuated his apartment the day before the storm arrived and did not return until December.
