Graduating senior plans to open theater company

Ryan Antony Nicotra, a Flagler College theater major, is still pursuing knowledge after graduating this spring.
“I feel ready,” he said, “but I know there’s so much more that I need to learn for myself that no school can really teach me.”
New Leaf: Chemical-free hair

It has been over one month since I have washed my hair with traditional shampoo and conditioners.
Since starting this no-poo lifestyle, as it is not-so-fondly called, I have eliminated every feature I used to hate about my hair. My hair is not frizzy, it’s not greasy and it’s not dirty. It’s clean, soft, shiny and healthy.
This new lifestyle is cheaper, easier and definitely better for the environment.

Starving to be skinny: College women fight eating disorders

Flagler junior Allie Martin* starting starving herself a little over a year ago. Typically, half of an apple was her biggest meal of the day.
“I liked the feeling of being starving,” she said.
Martin said some days she would reach 150 calories, max.
“Some days I’d just have coffee,” Martin said. “After two days, I would break down and have a salad.”
Setting it Straight: New bike plan imminent in St. A
Setting it Straight is a radio talk show on Flagler College Radio WFCF, 88.5 FM Radio With a Reason. Every week, Communication major Kelly Gibbs brings in a St. Augustine local to discuss issues going on around the city. The show airs every Thursday morning at 8:30.
This week, Kelly Gibbs interviewed Marci Larson from the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization about new bike trails and feedback from the public concerning a safer way to get around on a bike.

Students looking to voice their opinions on Flagler College should keep an eye out for an e-mail from Flagler President William T. Abare Jr. asking them to take part in a survey about the college.
Statistics say young women more mature than young men
