For the past four years, St. Augustine has welcomed fall with open arms due to the anticipation of Oktoberfest celebrations. Primarily held at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, this past weekend this weeks Oktoberfest celebration will be held at the St. Augustine Beach Pier and Pavilion.

The Flagler College men’s basketball team will travel northwest Monday to open the 2013-14 season at Florida State University in an exhibition game. The game will be played at the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
A series of events have been planned all throughout the month, each aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle within the Flagler student body while using the entry fees to raise funds for charities and research towards various forms of cancers and mental illnesses. Events will include group Zumba sessions on the sixth where participants are to show up in style by donning their best 80s attire.
