The Flagler women’s soccer team has shown great improvement this year and hopes to finish the season with a winning record.
Another equally important goal of the team is to raise awareness of a disease that affects everyone here at Flagler and around the world, breast cancer.
The Sept. 26 exhibition match served a dual purpose by raising awareness and raising much needed donations for the cause.
Donations of $2 were collected at the door and will go to several local charities which are focused on breast cancer awareness and prevention.
Breast cancer affects thousands of women each year and can be prevented with regular testing and routine checkups.
