As the cool air rolls into St. Augustine, so does another great round of fall and winter concerts.

Vampire Weekend is taking the stage at the St. Augustine Amphitheater tonight at 7 p.m. Vampire Weekend is on tour supporting their latest release “Contra” that is packed with upbeat indie pop music.

The band always gets a large turnout and this should be no exception. Vampire Weekends energetic live show and dance-y indie songs make them an essential to add to your list of concerts you have seen.

Friday night, Grammy award winning rock group, The Flaming Lips, will take the stage in support of its most recent album “Embryonic.” Out of all the shows I have wanted to see this year, all pale in comparison to how badly I want to see the Flaming Lips.

The Lips’ live performance is said to be one of the best live shows in the United States. There is usually confetti, Laser lights and a giant inflatable ball in which lead singer, Wayne Coyne, uses to walk around, crowd-surfing style. These are just a few of the surprises in store for those attending the show.

Both of these shows are going to make entertaining evenings at the St. Augustine Amphitheater. If you do not have tickets yet, they are still available at the St. Augustine Amphitheater.
