International recruitment helps create successful teams

Expanding recruitment globally creates opportunities for Division II tennis programs, such as Flagler College, to compete at a high level. According to Thomas Hipp, director of tennis at Flagler College, international recruitment is projected to be a large factor in the future success of Flagler College’s Tennis program.


Ingrilli, Saints ready for bounce-back year

If you walked by the Flagler College Tennis Complex, you have probably seen the women’s tennis team hard at work getting ready for their upcoming spring season. Now a captain, third-year player Krista Ingrilli is leading the charge and hopes to act as liaison between her teammates and coaches.

On August 21, 2013, former Barry University tennis star Thomas Hipp assumed the role of Flagler College’s director of tennis. After a stellar four-year career at Barry University, Hipp aims to take what he learned and bring it to Flagler.


Flagler tennis reaches out to junior players

Coach Walter Shinn and Assistant Coach Rachel Gould organized a “kids day” on Nov. 18, a community outreach to get the tennis team involved with the community.

The kids were able to learn and play tennis with the Flagler men and women’s tennis teams. Approximately 20-25 kids age 10 and under participated. It was a free event at it was hosted in the Flagler Tennis complex.
