“Annabelle” is perhaps the most anticipated horror film of this Halloween season. Starring an extremely unsettling doll, some relatively unknown actors and a full-fledged demon, it lumbers on at an awkward pace that desperately needed more help from the past decade’s best horror director.
“As Above, So Below” provides an incredibly tense atmosphere with some genuine scares, but doesn’t follow much logic towards the end.
It’s always good when a film can cause an existential crisis in your life. The short film “Salvatore” uses a tense atmosphere and a mortifying concept to leave the viewer speechless in just six short minutes.
As the hit film, Prisoners, started making its final rounds in theaters and transitioned into smaller dollar theaters, I put the finishing touches on my first ever feature length screenplay and submitted it to the BlueCat Screenplay Competition, the same competition that the Prisoners’ screenwriter jump-started his career with.
