Assistant Professors Rachel Cremona and Barbara Blonder are combining environmental politics and marine biology into a study abroad opportunity to Belize.
The trip, scheduled for summer 2007, includes five days at Calabash Caye and two days in the tropical rainforests of Cayo.
While in Belize, students will learn about the wildlife of the Belize Barrier Reef ecosystem and the current efforts through environmental policy to preserve the reef.
Participants of the trip will stay at the University of Belize Institute of Marine Studies and the Pook’s Hill Reserve.
For more information about the trip, an informational meeting is scheduled for Nov. 7, at 5 p.m., in K-421.
Interested students can also get more information by contacting Cremona at rcremona@flagler.edu, or Blonder at bblonder@flagler.edu.
