First Days

Day One 5/28
After a grueling eight-hour flight day I arrive in the Los Angeles Airport. I call my landlord and tell him that I am on my way to the apartment when he says that it isn’t ready and won’t be ready till two days from now, my body shuts down in a state of homelessness and panic. He tells me that he can arrange for me to stay in a hotel. I get to the hotel and it is the ritzy Hyatt Regency Century City Hotel. Maybe LA won’t be so bad after all!

The Wiry West

I think I have finally come to accept the World Wide Web for all the potential it has, good and bad. By “bad,” I don’t mean pictures of questionable behavior and unprofessional language on social networking sites. I don’t mean checking my email 17 times today (which I did- I know, it’s sad. Even sadder is that I counted).

I don’t mean the unparalleled dangers of communicating with and/or meeting unknown people online. I don’t mean the abundance of amoral content available everywhere online and I don’t mean the countless viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, adware, popups and spam email all throughout cyberspace.

‘Romper Round’

The romper/jumpsuit is back and hotter than ever. This trend was everywhere on the catwalk and is not about to leave the fashion scene. This style began last year but has been a major trend this year in the fashion world.

If you have not heard of the romper trend, it is a one-piece that may be short or long and have different tops including sleeveless, tube top and halter.

Getting all spacey

I can’t even begin to explain how amazing my trip to Kennedy Space Center was. Let’s just say that it didn’t work out for us to go out on the launch pad, and I’m still thrilled.
