Hugh Shaw Remembered at 5th Annual First Coast Surf Clinic

The 5th Annual First Coast Surf Clinic was held Saturday Sept. 22 at the Crescent Beach ramp. The Flagler alumni and local residents as well as Flagler College students and faculty offered great support in learning how to surf. The clinic is a donation only event to benefit the Hugh Shaw memorial scholarship at Flagler College.


Club UNITY hosts Hooray! Day celebration on campus

Club UNITY celebrated Hooray! Day on the West Lawn for the second consecutive year last Thursday.

“It’s a day all about celebration, awareness, education, and unity,” said Chris Lauth, Executive Director and founding member of Club UNITY.


SGA approves 2 more clubs

The Student Government Association approved both a Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Club as well as a Flagler College Greenpeace Student Network at its third official meeting on Sept. 29.

It has been about a year since co-presidents Ben Cannady and John Miller decided a Lacrosse Club was needed at Flagler College.



8 Limbs Yoga studio opens in St. Augustine

For Brittney Crosby and Amy Peterson 8 Limbs Yoga is a dream come true. The light blue walls of the new studio are inviting and calming, the floor to ceiling mirrors gives the illusion of never ending space and the wood floors give the interior of this yoga studio the impression of timelessness.


Zumba craze hits Flagler

Men’s soccer remains unbeaten in Peach Belt

The Flagler College Saints (4-3-1, 3-0-0 PBC) defeated the Clayton State University Lakers (4-4-0, 0-1-0 PBC) on Saturday.

A fast start paved the way to an important Peach Belt Conference victory in front of a large crowd at Flagler Field, leaving the Saints atop the conference standings. Within three minutes of the opening whistle, teammates Mack Hough and Pol Berenguer scored to put the Saints up 2-0.


Phi Alpha captures campus attention with ‘Lewis Idol’

Lewis House’s balcony and the surrounding area crowded up for an unusual reason on Sept. 16 – Phi Alpha Omega’s “Lewis Idol.”

“Lewis Idol” was part of Phi Alpha’s spirit week, which led up to an interview day required for membership in the service organization. The interview day is the final step in member selection.
