Mustard Stains: Saints duke it out with Embry-Riddle in basketball

The entire arena smelt of sweat, cheap deodorant and spilt mustard. The crowd was whipped into a frenzy as the ball smashed through the net – a slam dunk! Fans cheered all around the stadium, both insults and whooping joy. The basketball game between Flagler College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautics University on Dec. 2 was heated and exciting for all parties involved.

For Cassandra Helton, the owner of The Closet and designer of Helton Hill, the 4th annual Big Trunk Show at Café 11 is a huge event. The show allows local clothing, screen-print, jewelry and accessory designers to display and sell their wares to everyone who visits Café Eleven on the night in question. This year, that night happened to be Nov. 12.

Flagler grows ‘greener’ with Hunger Initiative

Riffenburg is First Chair of Student Government Association’s Green Committee. Along with friend Joshua Currie, Riffenburg created the Flagler College Hunger Initiative. He is also an intern for CitySprout and is helping build the garden boxes in Lincolnville.
