With midterms around the corner, the Student Government Association still has a considerable amount of money left in the budget. Clubs and organizations around campus are encouraged to apply for a grant to use for campus activities or general expenses.


Actor/Film-Maker Crispin Glover to bring his films to Florida, discusses them with the Gargoyle

You may know him from his roles in blockbusters such as George McFly in “Back to The Future”, the Knave of “Hearts in Alice in Wonderland”, or the main villain in “Charlie’s Angels”. Or you may recognize him for his smaller roles in cult films like “Rivers Edge” and “Willard”. However, Crispin Glover not only acts in films, he creates them as well with his own funds and vision.

Glover will be screening his slideshow and films Feb. 18 and 19 at the Sunray Theater, “It is Fine!” in Gainesville at the Hippodrome on the 21st and “It is Fine!” in Orlando at the Enzian on the 22nd.



Bermuda’s soccer talent arrives to Flagler

Triston Hall is in his first year of college. He plays for the Flagler College soccer team. Although, he has a partner on the team, Marco Warren, who is also from Bermuda, the two have a variety of similarities and differences. Hall, number 18 on the team, is 6 feet 2 inches tall, while Warren, number 23, is 5 feet 4 inches tall. Hall plays as a defender and Warren plays as a forward. The two have been playing together since high school and helped lead their school, Montverde Academy, to being ranked No.




Boys and Girls Club find more than animals at Alligator Farm

On Feb. 11, the Boys and Girls Club of St. Augustine worked with Flagler College Society of Professional Journalists for their annual Mission: Media event.

Mission: Media gives children of the Boys and Girls club a hands-on experience of a day in the life of a reporter, with the guidance of members from Flagler College Society of Professional Journalists. This year, the club went to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, where everyone picked an animal as the subject of their newspaper article. Is your house making you sick?

Aside from the occasional asthma, Flagler student Corey Christian, 22, is in perfectly good health. So it came as a surprise when he found it harder and harder to breathe, even in his own home.

“When I was just laying in my bed and I’d have the window open and like a fan on me, just trying to get some air and I was out of breath” he said “I couldn’t stop coughing, I would actually vomit from how much I was coughing.”
