The Flagler College Home Team, started by the St. Johns Housing Partnership and the Trinity Episcopal Church, will lead different groups on-campus and recruit volunteers to participate in Make a Difference Day on Oct. 27.

When The Standard opens in November on Anastasia Boulevard, just over the Bridge of Lions, it will be more than just another St. Augustine music venue. Not only will it feature bands, but also art, comedy and even fashion shows.

After years of students patiently waiting for Flagler to create a lacrosse team, the time has come. Flagler now offers an intercollegiate club team. They currently have a three-year plan to join the Men’s College Lacrosse Association.
Flagler College student Landon Clair, 20, was the first to show initiative in getting a lacrosse team together. He is now one of the captains of the club.
“The whole point of starting this club was so that we could just play lacrosse at Flagler and have some fun,” Clair said. “We all love playing, and we’re ultimately looking to start something that will last with the college.”

The Flagler men’s soccer has found itself putting Flagler College on the athletic map. Since moving into the NCAA’s Division II and the Peach Belt Conference in 2009, the men’s soccer team has achieved great success.
In 2009 and 2011, the men’s team was the regular season champions and the Peach Belt Conference Tournament champions. They are also 3-time NCAA tournament participants, finding themselves in the elite eight of the NCAA Division II tournament.
