Some tips for on-campus parking and personal safety

New Flagler College Director of Security Arnold Finkelstein offers some tips to new and returning students:

Students can park in the new FEC unpaved parking area on Malaga Street as long as they have a parking decal. This is available 24 hours a day.

The college is providing a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes from the VIC parking garage to all areas on campus. It runs from dawn to dusk.
There are six emergency call centers on campus. They are active 24 hours a day and will direct you to Flagler’s Security office. You are advised to call 911 first and know the location of what parking area you are calling from.
Students should keep the number for campus security — (904) 819-6200 — in their phone for any off-campus situations that a student may need advice or help about.

“We are not going to say ‘no’ to students who feel they need transportation within campus,” Finkelstein said. “We are here to help.”
