The Flagler College Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team placed first in the organization’s regional competition in Miami last week.
At regionals, Flagler students competed against colleges like Florida International University and University of South Florida.
The Flagler team will head to Dallas for the national competition this May. The team is no stranger to the contest, where they won the national title in 2004 and ultimately came in second in the world in 2005.
SIFE is an international non-profit organization active on more than 1,400 university campuses in 48 countries.
SIFE teams create economic opportunities in their communities by organizing outreach projects that focus on market economics, entrepreneurship, personal financial skills and business ethics.
