Student Government Association President David Matulewicz announced three open chairs on his leadership team.
The positions — first chair for Green Committee, second chair for Publicity and Parliamentarian — are all positions of officer standing.
The Green Committee first chair position is open to all representatives. Matulewicz and Maggie Rudd, acting first chair of Green Committee, are accepting letters of intent electronically for the first chair position until Friday, Sept. 25. A general vote will decide the new chairperson and Rudd will take second chair.
Matulewicz and Alicia Abbott, first chair of Publicity, are accepting letters of intent for the second chair position. The SGA executive board and Abbott will vote for the new chairperson after interviewing the candidates.
Matulewicz said he already has three candidates for the position of Parliamentarian and that the chair should be filled soon.
Matulewicz handed out forms to anyone who wanted to become a representative of SGA. This process is the new way to assign voting status to a member — as opposed to the previous 75 percent attendance rule.
SGA meets every Tuesday at 9 p.m. in the Gamache-Koger room of the Student Center.
