Flagler baseball earned their seventh win on Tuesday against No. 2 Florida Southern College.
The win put the Saints at 7-7, while the loss brought the Florida Southern Moccasins’ down to 7-2; both losses coming from Flagler.
The game began with the Saints trailing 2-0. Rallying back in the top of the third, Flagler scored three runs. Florida Southern also delivered one more, tying the score.
Into the fourth, Flagler took the lead, 5-3. Junior pitcher Tyler Ward helped hold the score, allowing only two hits and one run. He also earned two strikeouts. Senior Heath Storey followed and pitched two scoreless innings. He also held the Moccasins to only one hit.
Junior Max Rusch finished the game, with help from senior Tyler McKendree.
Peach Belt Conference action starts this Sunday, Feb. 27, for the Saints with a doubleheader at Augusta State University. Game time is 1 p.m.
