Anyone looking for a last music festival roadtrip before school starts might want to check out this year’s Music On The Mountaintop Festival in Foscoe, N.C. For its fifth consecutive year, the festival brings some of the most underrated names in Folk, Americana and Bluegrass together for three days of dance and jubilation.
The festival will take place Aug. 24-26 and is hosted by American/Bluegrass legends Railroad Earth. Performers for this year include: Dr. Dog, Sam Bush, JJ Grey & Mofro, Greensky Bluegrass, The Dirty Dozen
Brass Band, Futurebirds, Larry Keel & Natural Bridge, The Black Lillies, River Whyless, Rose’s Pawn Shop, Naked Gods and SalemSpeaks.
Beyond the music scene, MOTM offers daily yoga classes, cabin rentals and offsite parking. For those of you looking to camp, the festival offers campsites, restrooms, bath houses and access to water.
