Mango Mango’s so good you have to say it twice

Are you in need of a vacation? You might want to try Mango Mango’s.

As you walk up to the front door you can smell the salty sweet air of the ocean and hear Jimmy Buffet playing in the background. Mango Mango’s Beachside Bar and Grill, located at 700 A1A Beach Blvd. is like a small tropical paradise. Set foot inside, and you are immediately surrounded by bright beautiful island colors. This one-story restaurant has a tiki bar, booths, tables and a cozy front porch with a beach street view. The walls are covered in local artists work from a giant multi colored fish to parrots and palm trees.

Owner Rick Worley takes pride in having spectacular service and a clean establishment. “When I go to a restaurant I don’t only want the food to be good, but I want to have a good experience, experience is part of the meal,” he said. Not only is Worley passionate about his restaurant, so are his servers. Mango’s server Lindsey Allumbaugh said, “This is the first job I like coming to, we are like a family. Because the environment is so great we enjoy serving people, I rarely have a bad day at work.”

Mango’s has a basic menu like any other restaurant, but what makes it unique is its tropical twist. From sandwiches, burgers to fresh seafood ranging from $4.95 to $12.95 there is something for everyone. One restaurant favorite is the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich, which is overflowing with grilled chicken, pineapple, papaya, honey ham and provolone cheese.

Another popular item is the Hurricane Mahi Mahi, which is a fresh Mahi fillet, grilled and basted in Caribbean flavors and topped with a homemade fruit salsa. With every meal there is a choice of one of 12 side items. With every visit you have the opportunity to try something new like sweet plantains and yucca fries.

On top of having a superb menu, Mango Mango’s also has some award winning items such as their tropical chicken wings and clam and shrimp chowder. If you still have room at the end of your meal, there is an array of homemade desserts made weekly by Worley’s wife, Gloria Worley.
