JP Henley’s is a relatively new face to St. Augustine, located behind A1A Ale Works on Marine Street. Patrons can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere in the Tap Room with several widescreen plasma televisions and a variety of daily lunch specials.
Serving lunch and dinner daily, the menu consists of appetizers, wraps, salads and hot sandwiches that are to-die-for. I ordered the Matanzas, a hot sandwich with garlic roasted chicken, spicy audouille sausage and Spanish manchego cheese served on foccacia bread, and I did not want it to end. It was accompanied by a choice of potato salad or chips and a pickle.
JP Henley’s is an impressive place that caters to a wide audience. There is even an intimate patio in the back where you can enjoy cigars from the custom-built humidor. It is a terrific place for any occasion and should be experienced by everyone. It has, indeed, become my new neighborhood pub.
