The Cajobri Comedy Walk invades St. Augustine this month. Teamed up with Beerhammer’s Beer Gear, they sell tickets for a variety of days throughout the week at 8 pm (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays). No matter the weather, the Cajobri Walk is always held on schedule and all ages are encouraged to come. The jokes are for an older audience but that’s not to say the younger crowd won’t enjoy the walk through historical St. Augustine.

BeerHammer Bear Gear specializes in selling not only beer but also merchandise that will ‘celebrate the love of beer’. Their motto is “For the Love of Beer and its Friends”. Employee Laura Emerson gave a little insight to the story. Jonas Beerhammer, owner of Beerhammer Beer Gear, started his company with not only his love of beer but also his love of sports. The idea being that sports bring people together in a sort of comradery that he really enjoyed. Often times, it’s customary that people will go out for a beer after or during a game, so Beerhammer then got the idea to create his business. Sports, specifically soccer, can always be found playing on the televisions in the store.

While it’s pretty obvious that the store sells beer related items, what is not well known is that they also sell ghost hunter equipment. In fact, they are the largest wholesaler of it. While extremely impressive, not too surprising seeing as Beerhammer also does ghost tours around St. Augustine. Not new to the touring business it’s no shocker that he teamed up with Ben Tier, the comedy walk’s tour guide, to create this different type of tour.

Currently the event is not well known throughout the community, but it’s said to be well worth it. Laura Emerson said that Ben Tier was “really funny and witty with a dark side that makes people giggle. He makes you realize that life has a dark side but if you can’t laugh at it then what can you do?” Tier hosts the walk with his raved about sense of humor and his slightly fictitious stories in a unique way. The Cajobri Comedy Walk is sure to not disappoint its customers.

You can purchase your tickets at Beerhammer’s Beer Gear, 162 St. George Street, over the phone (904-814-8446), and online. Prices are $15 for adults, $13 for students and military, and $9 for children 12 and under. If purchased online the price is $2 off.
