Flagler College Home Team organizes community Make a Difference Day

By Lindsay Marks | gargoyle@flagler.edu

The Flagler College Home Team, started by the St. Johns Housing Partnership and the Trinity Episcopal Church, will lead different groups on-campus and recruit volunteers to participate in Make a Difference Day on Oct. 27.

Volunteers will be joining the St. Johns Housing Partnership in repairing homes for disabled and elderly families. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., they will help with exterior painting, landscaping, repairing fences, porch repairs and building wheel chair ramps.

Other volunteers will help by dropping off volunteer meals and supplies.

The Flagler College Home Team is a community services club with the mission of promoting the common good. It consists of 10 members with the advising of Ernest Driscoll.  The Home Team has given back by collecting blankets for the homeless, visiting nursing homes, volunteering at after school programs and organizing food drives.

To get involved in Home Team contact Colby Eaton at CEaton@flagler.edu.
