Flagler College’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team returned to the SIFE USA National Championship in late May and were knocked out by eventual National Champion Graceland University in the semi-final round.

The SIFE team swept the regional competition in every category heading into the national competition. Despite losing to Graceland University, Flagler’s SIFE team defeated the University of Florida, University of North Florida, and Hilbert College in the semi-final round.

Flagler’s SIFE team also finished third overall in the individual topic category for program sustainability.

Flagler College’s SIFE team is a former national champion and was runner-up in the SIFE World Championship in 2004.

SIFE is a global, non-profit organization that supports student teams on more than 1,800 college and university campuses in 40 countries. The goal of SIFE is to teach the principles of free enterprise, and every year SIFE teams create educational outreach projects that focus on helping communities better understand how to be financially successful by utilizing the free enterprise system.
