I feel so privileged that I was able to attend the inauguration of President Barack Obama. The experience was one that I will never forget.

As someone from both an African-American and European background, being able to witness this historic moment was something my ancestors waited and fought for their entire lives.

The response from both America and the entire world was very apparent.

I met people from all over the United States, and as far away as Kenya.

It was so amazing to see people of all nationalities and political beliefs come together on one day to celebrate the birth of change in American politics!
