Many work out to benefit themselves–but what if you could work out to benefit others?

The Flagler College chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) has created Cancer Smash, an event that seeks to raise donations for the Cancer Patient Emergency Fund at Flagler Hospital.

The entry fee is 25 dollars, which includes a Cancer Smash t-shirt, entries for raffles, prizes and food, as well as an optional guided workout.

All proceeds will go to the Cancer Patient Emergency Fund.

Managed through the Flagler Health Care Foundation, this fund offers grants and financial assistance to cancer patients who are currently undergoing treatment at Flagler Hospital.  Through philanthropic efforts and community outreach, Flagler Health Care Foundation’s mission is to assist in providing the most inclusive patient experience possible.

The Cancer Smash event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at DRiV Fitness CrossFit located on S.R. 207 north of Grant Street.

Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to help your community–because together, we can make a difference.
