Cross country: men’s and women’s

Men’s CC

The Flagler men’s cross country team also competed Oct. 17 at the at the Hatter Invitational in Deland. The men placed placing 7th out of 13 teams, and Flagler standout Ryan MacManus also placed 7th in the 102-man field. He finished the 8K race with a time of 27:23.

With this run MacManus made the course’s top 10 best times. Alex Bonus finished 36th, Ben Joslin finished 45th, and Evan Roszkowski finished 60th.

The cross-country team will compete next for the NCAA Division II South Regional on Nov. 8, in Searcy, Ark.

Women’s CC

The women’s cross-country team traveled to Deland, Fla., for the Hatter Invitational Oct. 17. Flagler’s top finisher was Christa Lamond who finished with a time of 21:18 over the 5K race placing 27th out of 102.

Flagler’s other top finishers were Melissa Epifanio who placed 31st, Laura McKnight who placed 39th, and Caroline Young and April Robinson finished back to back for the 45th and 46th spots.

Now the team will prepare for the NCAA Division II South Regional on Nov. 8, in Searcy, Ark.
