Chuck Todd, former NBC News’ chief political analyst for nearly two decades, visited Flagler College on March 11, 2025.

He was part of Flagler College’s Forum on Government and Public Policy, where journalists and commentators are invited to speak on politics, government affairs and public policy. Todd spoke to multiple communication classes throughout the day and presented at the Ringhaver Student Center.

Todd is the former moderator of NBC’s Sunday public affairs program, “Meet the Press,” and a three-time Emmy Award-winner. He is currently hosting his podcast, “The Chuck Toddcast.” Todd recently left NBC, and people were left wondering what his plans were after spending so many years at a major media source.

Many Americans have limited trust in national news sources, especially during such a tense political climate. Todd offered insight into solutions for national news to regain the public’s trust and improve their outreach. In a time when the public is looking to news sources for valuable information on the country’s and government’s affairs, the role of national news is crucial.

I had the opportunity to interview Todd at the WFCF 88.5 Flagler College Radio station. Below is an interview with Todd’s exclusive insight into his future career plans and the national media’s role in our country.
