CD Review: Young Buck

Following his freshman release Welcome to Cashville, Young Buck has put G-Unit back on the hip-hop map. The G-Unit south member has once again mixed his lyrics of the streets with some catchy, easygoing beats.

Having collaborations with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Trick Daddy, 50 Cent, Bun B, TI, Young Jeezy, Jazze Pha, and many more, Buck the World is quickly working its way up the charts. Currently peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard charts, Young Buck has nothing to quarrel at.

The debut single, “Get Buck,” is not the best single on the album, but displays a hypnotizing beat that correlates with the chorus that easily gets stuck in your head. “Buck the World,” explains the struggle of a father losing his child in a custody battle. Lyfe 7’s verses are very soothing, adding an R&B twist the track.

In all, the album is decent. Throwing out some good hooks, Buck has again put out the best in the next series of releases from G-Unit. This album is defiantly worth checking out if you enjoy rap from the dirty south.
