I’ve always found a great sense of satisfaction when pushing myself beyond both my physical and mental limits. It’s that empowering sensation of accomplishment one experiences as they push through their own mental barriers on what’s possible and drive themselves further than they ever believed imaginable; only to then start over the next day and repeat the entire process, setting their sights on even higher goals and working harder each day to obtain them.

Senior Night: Men’s basketball one win shy of playoffs

The Flagler College men’s basketball team is one win away of making their first playoffs since joining the Peach Belt Conference in 2009.
This Saturday, Mar. 2, the Saints will play Augusta State at 3:30 p.m., at the Flagler Gymnasium for a chance to play in the Peach Belt Tournament.

The rise to glory: women’s basketball team sets sights on record season

The final minutes couldn’t go any slower for the Flagler women’s basketball team, but when the clock hit zero, they knew Feb. 20 will be a day to remember.
After winning only two games (four overall) last season, the women’s basketball team clinched a Peach Belt Conference playoff berth for the first time ever. The team is having a turnaround season, owning a conference record of 10-8 (13-11 overall). With two games left, they have the opportunity to have a winning season for the first time in five years, according to Head Coach Lang-Montgomery.
Women’s basketball clinches first spot in Peach Belt tournament
For the first time, Flagler’s women’s basketball has secured a spot in the Peach Belt Conference tournament after an 88-77 win over Francis Marion University at home Feb. 20.
Treva Mason led five players in double figures as she scored 16 points and added 15 rebounds.
Three former Saints look back on their first year as pros

Since 1985, Flagler College has had 16 players drafted by major league teams.
In the 2012 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, three former Saints — Garrett Bush, Jonathon Arnold, and John Sgromolo — were drafted by the Angels, Brewers, and Dodgers respectively.
Arnold, a right-handed pitcher, was drafted in the 30th round by the Milwaukee Brewers. He pitched a combined 15 games (33 innings) between the Helena Brewers of the Pioneer League, and the Brewers in the Arizona League.
