Comedian teases celebrities, Obama on campus

Comedian, actor, rapper and entertainer Cory “ZooMan” Miller hit the Flagler Campus last Thursday, Feb. 25 with an outrageous stand-up routine.

Miller has been blowing up the comedic scene since his television debut on HBO’s series Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam and has since been featured on BET’s Comic View and NBC’s Friday Night Videos.


Picnic to fill stomachs and minds

UPDATE: The Greenpeace picnic is being postponed until Tuesday, Feb. 23, due to predicted widespread showers and thunderstorms.

If you pass by the West Lawn on Monday, Feb. 22, the aroma of grilled vegetable kabobs may catch your attention.

It may lure you toward the scent of a variety of natural recipes and organic dishes. You will find yourself at the Organic Delight Picnic.


SGA attendance policy to present to Faculty Senate

On Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Student Government Association meeting focused on a new club grant, a few general announcements and some club updates. SGA President David Matulewicz reaffirmed his best wishes for tomorrow’s presentation of the Attendance Policy proposal to the Faculty Senate.




New Leaf: Eco-friendly dining hall

Around mid-January, I got an e-mail about the dining hall introducing a new vegetarian station.

I was excited that the college would make such a big transition, so I decided to check it out. Now, I am an employee of ARAMARK, but I work at Bugg’s Bistro, not the dining hall. I have no prior knowledge of what they do over there, other than my time as a freshman when I lived on campus.




SGA approves attendance policy changes

On Tuesday, the Student Government Association meeting focused on the attendance policy. SGA president David Matulewicz declared that the current attendance policy proposal will be sent to the Faculty Senate Feb. 24.


CAB hosts first coffeehouse concert

A stage was erected in the center of four boxed pillars of light and the table nearby held desserts and beverages from far off realms. In a matter of minutes the Virginia Room was drenched in a soft light that resembled a European sunset. At 7 p.m. on Feb. 4, the stars came out to shine.
