With blasting brass and pounding percussion, General Tso’s Fury enjoy a small-but-dedicated following in the Northeast Florida music scene. But although the six-piece ska band from Fernandina Beach are no strangers to the stage, they are adamant about keeping their performances fun for their fans.

In the words of the composed yet comedic Sifu Jasper Green, Kung Fu and boxing instructor at Flagler College, “anyone can fight” and that’s why his class offers the opportunity to learn more than just self-defense.
“It isn’t about being in the ring fighting, it’s about being a better person,” Green said.

Christine Young, a Flagler College junior, finds herself juggling school and work as she assists with the planning of various events for Go Fish, a clothing franchise in downtown St. Augustine.
Young has been a part-time sales associate of Go Fish for a year. Go Fish is a missions-based fair trade company that sells clothing, accessories and home décor among other items made by artisans in developing countries. The store and its employees get involved with the community through different events.
