Brunet-GarcÃa Multicultural Advertising & PR, North Florida’s largest Hispanic advertising agency, announced today that it has created a $1,500 scholarship for minority graphic design students at St. Augustine’s Flagler College.
The Brunet-GarcÃa Minority Scholarship for Graphic Design will be granted each year to a student of diverse ethnic background based on merit. Qualified, interested students are urged to apply regardless of need.
“There is a lack of minorities, trained and ready to embark on careers in the advertising industry,” said Jorge Brunet-GarcÃa, vice-president and executive creative director of Brunet-GarcÃa. “We want to do our part to encourage minority students to pursue a career in advertising in an effort to increase the participation of multicultural professionals in the agency business. Our purpose is to create in our industry a true representation of the changing ethnic and racial composition of our population.”
Brunet-GarcÃa Multicultural Advertising & PR is a minority-owned advertising and public relations agency serving multicultural markets in Florida, the Southeast, the Caribbean, Central and South America.
