Alpha Psi Omega gives you ‘Reasons to be Pretty’

Flagler College Theater Arts Honor Society Alpha Psi Omega has been hard at work to bring Neil LaBute’s “Reasons to be Pretty” to the main stage Sept. 14-16.

“What is pretty? What does it all mean? We all have our own different perception of what beautiful is,” said director and Alpha Psi Omega President John Labman. “It’s a pretty relateable theme for everybody.”

This dramatic interpretation hopes to immerse the audience in the world of a troubled relationship between main characters Greg and Steph, played by Alpha Psi Omega treasurer and secretary Micah Laird and Jessica Wolford.

“I know that it’s something that I have personally felt,” says Jessica Wolford about the shows theme. “I am sure that a lot of people can relate to Steph, and to all the characters in this show.”

Proceeds of the show will go towards Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, as well as funds for future performances.

Tickets are $5 for all three days and can be purchased in the box office outside of the Flagler College Auditorium.
