How to Save Money with your Student ID at Stores and Restaurants

Like many people, when shopping, I always try to get the best deal possible, whether its printing off coupons, signing up to be a store’s email list, or sometimes investing in the store’s credit card reward system. Yet, there is an even easier way to save money that most college students do not know about.

As a bargain shopper, when checking out I always ask if the store has a student discount. If the answer is yes, the cashier will ask me to show my school ID and, depending on the store, it usually saves me anywhere between 10-20% on my entire purchase! That may not seem like much, but it makes a difference to students, like myself, that are trying to save money, but find  it impossible to do so when your hobbies consist of shopping and eating.
