2013 spring break destinations

A week without lectures to listen to, papers to write and exams to study for. That’s what many college students are looking forward to during their spring break.

With spring break already here for many colleges and fast approaching for many others, top spring break destinations are quickly becoming overpopulated with students. Hotels in these areas are doubling and tripling their rates yet, are still fully booked.

Panama City Beach
South Beach Miami
Daytona Beach
Key West
Orlando

At number one for spring break’s top locations is Panama City Beach, Fla. With numerous hotels and a variety of amenities, this city is able to accommodate to vast amount of spring breakers who travel here for the party scene.

One perk of attending spring break at this beach is the variety of free concerts for anyone to attend. Celebrities to make an appearance in Panama City Beach during the 2013 spring break season include Lil’ Jon, LoCash Cowboys, Lee Brice, Travis Porter, Juicy-J, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Rodney Atkins, and many more, According to pcbeachspringbreak.com.

“Panama City Beach changed my life. I never want to go anywhere else for spring break again,” said Lizzy Orne, Flagler College sophomore.

Second on the list is South Beach Miami. While it is at a higher price to spend spring break in Miami, the party scene is never ending.

Daytona Beach is also known for the party scene and is loaded with multiple clubs and bars. The beach also has numerous hotels with low rates as well as inexpensive restaurants to accommodate a variety of spring breakers.

With a casual, laid back atmosphere, Key West brings numerous people to beaches every spring break. Key West has multiple beaches to accommodate the crowds of students as well as lots of entertainment during the day and night. Key West has additional amenities including tours of the city and beach, as well as excursions for an offshore experience.

Number five on the list is Orlando, which gives spring breakers a variety of choices to choose from. With multiple theme parks, water parks, shopping centers, restaurants and much more, Orlando allows those with less interest in the beach to still enjoy a variety of entertainment.

For the spring breakers who like to leave the thoughts of school behind and have a week of relaxation with friends, the top spring break destinations are a must.
